What can cause gum recession?
Several factors may be involved, here are a few examples;

Poor dental hygiene resulting in severe tartar buildup leading to chronic inflammation of the gums.

Gum graft treatment is a common surgery and aims to recreate the gumline and prevent deterioration of the gums. Some gum graft treatments are done from a tissue sample located on your palate. What is the appointment for alloderm gum graft surgery?
The gum graft surgery is a treatment of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, it is done painlessly under local anesthesia. The treatment is comfortable and not demanding for the patient, as it requires only partial opening of the mouth. The dentist then detaches your existing gum tissue to create room for the graft. The graft is placed in a “sandwich” under the gum tissue at the site of your recession, thus creating no open wound. Most of the treatment is the placement of the stitches which are done following the gum graft. These points will be removed by the dentist in the following weeks. Post-operative appointments should also be scheduled to ensure proper healing.
